Do you remember when Adam Sandler movies were funny? Sorry I had to . One of he best was the Wedding singer with Drew Barrymore. As a wedding DJ I kinda related to some of it. One of the funniest parts of the movie was when granny starts rapping.

Some sad news today as I just heard that actress, Ellen Albertini Dow died on Monday at the age of 101. She was best known for playing the old woman who performed "Rapper's Delight" by The Sugarhill Gang in "The Wedding Singer".

In an interview at the time, she said she'd never heard the song before learning it for the movie. She added, quote, "I just sang it and put some movement to it." Her cover also made the soundtrack.

The movie came out in 1998, which means she would've been 85 at the time. There's no word on a cause of death.

If you have never seen her part in the movie...ENJOY!
