That Time Trisha Yearwood Touched My Arm

Have you ever been at a concert or something and had a celebrity touch you?

Mine was many years ago, when I was barely a teenager but I remember it like it was yesterday.

I was at a concert at the Broome County Arena in Binghamton, NY.  It was Little Texas, Trisha Yearwood and Travis Tritt that were playing together.

A friend of the family worked for a radio station and said he would get me back to meet Little Texas that night.  After LT finished their set, I met Rich to wait to go back stage but there was an issue and I was left behind and told that I would have to go back to my seat.  I could see them and knew it wasn't going to be hard to get there and I had been to concerts before so I wasn't worried but figured it was going to be a long walk back with my head down and disappointed in not meeting Little Texas.   However, I had no idea what was about to happen.

I was about 3 rows from my seat and security stopped me.  "sir, wait here"   I of course was thinking, what now?

I then hear Trisha start singing "She's In Love With The Boy" and I look to my right and sitting right there was Trisha Yearwood!   She stands up, smiles and touches my arm before walking toward the stage.

Trisha Yearwood touched my arm!   I was a teenager in love!   I didn't wash that arm for a week.

It was the greatest experience of my young life.

It also made me a country music fan for life.
