Has your favorite charity or organization had to change the way they raise much needed funds in 2021? Here's how one organization is making it happen:

Do you know anyone in your life who has been impacted by heart disease or stroke? Chances are you do and, according to statistics, if you don’t yet, you soon will.

Life is why we walk and life can change in the blink of an eye, as we were reminded at this year's Heart Walk kick-off luncheon.

It's a simple idea, if you have a woman, or women, in your life who are important to you, show your support and help raise awareness about women and heart disease.

This year, the Dutchess Walk will take place at a new location. We hope that you will walk with us, or form your own team of family and friends.

Mother Nature was not very kind to the Hudson Valley this past Saturday morning, but that didn't stop the dedicated volunteers, staff, and walkers for this year's Dutchess Heart Walk. Each January, a special group of people meet for the Dutchess Ulster Heart Walk Kick-Off Luncheon at Marist College.

This past Saturday, I once again found myself on stage for the Dutchess/Ulster Heart Walk. I have had the privilege of emceeing this event, along with many of my co-workers, many times over the years and it never ceases to amaze me how dedicated everyone is from the staff and volunteers of The American Heart Association to all of the walkers...

Heart disease and stroke have had a major impact in my family and my circle of friends. Some have pulled through just fine, others are still dealing with the after effects, and some didn't survive. I know that I am not alone in this. My family is certainly not the only family affected by heart disease...
