Weather experts in the Hudson Valley say as of now there's a "strong signal" a winter storm will impact the region at the end of the Thanksgiving weekend.

On Tuesday, a weather forecast from The Weather Channel called for 3 to 5 inches of snow Sunday, another 3 to 5 inches of snow Sunday evening and 3 more inches of snow Monday morning in Orange and Dutchess counties.

Later on Tuesday, Hudson Valley Weather said "things begin to look potentially stormy" for the region after Saturday."

"We are now monitoring the potential for a winter storm Sunday PM into Monday AM. This period has had a strong signal for a storm for quite a long time and the data is beginning to show that potential," Hudson Valley Weather wrote on Facebook.

Hudson Valley Weather added the storm has the potential to be mostly snow but added it was too early to really predict.

The Weather Channel has updated its forecast and now calls for up to 10 inches of snow in Orange and Dutchess counties. While Ulster County is currently forecast for up to 11 inches of snow.
