After some heavy rain Wednesday night and a good dose of lighting, Thursday and Friday does look drier for the Hudson Valley.  Thursday morning, we’ll keep some scattered showers and maybe a thunderstorm in the forecast.  It will be foggy for the first part of the day.  Then the sun will come out and the valley will begin to feel a break for the humidity.  It will still be hot on Thursday, but by Thursday night you’ll feel less humidity especially for Friday.  The next threat for wet weather is over the weekend, at this point not a washout at all.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Thursday: Isolated showers before noon, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between noon and 2pm. Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 87.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 64.

Friday:  Mostly sunny, high near 85.

Saturday:  Partly sunny, high near 83.  Scattered showers with thunderstorms possible after noon.
