Salt on Watermelon?

Is this something you do with watermelon?

We have talked many times on the Wakin' Up with CJ and Jess Show about some of our favorite weird food combinations. Jess couldn't believe that I put ketchup on almost everything including potato chips, tuna fish and more, yes I love me some ketchup.

When I saw this online, I was like this just sounds like it would taste awful! Do you put salt on watermelon?

We took a bunch of calls this morning and couldn't believe how many people here in the Hudson Valley do this. Jess had mentioned that it sounds like a southern thing and we had some people call us that said that they grew up in the south and its really common.

Most people that called in said that if you have never tried, once you do you will never eat watermelon the same way again.
