It is official after this week. Winter has arrived to the Hudson Valley and so has the winter weather. We keep you up-to-date on road and weather conditions with our Hudson Valley Storm Center but you also need to think about how you drive when winter weather hits. I want to start by saying there is no shame in just staying home. There is no special award for being someone who drives in the snow or ice during a storm. That being said there are times we have to go out during bad weather so it is a good idea to be prepared and follow a few safety tip that AAA has put in the video below.

So what if you don't like to drive in winter weather but you have to go out. Well that's when I suggest you make arrangements for someone who has a good winter weather vehicle to be your transportation. The worst thing on the road during a winter storm is a driver who is scared to drive in snow and ice. So be safe out there and don't be afraid to ask for a ride when you don't think you should be driving.
