Winter has arrived...Well, at least in some parts of New York.

While most of the Hudson Valley dealt with rain over the weekend, the highest peaks of the Catskill Mountains received roughly 2-3 inches of ice.

At above 3,000 feet in elevation, the freezing rain covered the summits of Vly and Bearpen Mountain in thick ice. There is some heavy tree damage as a result of the storm.

While the ice beautiful to look at, use caution if you find yourself exploration these summits.

These summits are mostly uninhabited, but hikers beware of large pieces of ice falling, as well as falling tree limbs and branches.

Additional photos of the ice-covered summits can be found on Hudson Valley Weather's Facebook page.

I mean, would you just look at all this ice!
