Nearly 100 Accused of Driving Impaired In Hudson Valley During St. Patrick’s Day
Nearly 100 people are accused of driving while impaired during St. Patrick's Day weekend in the Hudson Valley.
Last week, police departments throughout the area announced they were participating in a St. Patrick's DWI crackdown as part of the statewide STOP-DWI campaign which ran from Friday, March 15 until Monday, March 18.
Forty-six were arrested by New York State Police Troop F while 26 were charged by New York State Police Troop K. You can see more information about each arrest, including the driver's names, by clicking the above links.
Fifty-nine people died in alcohol-related crashes nationwide during the St. Patrick’s Day holiday period in 2017, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
