The weather is getting warmer and that means that you'll soon get to spend more time outside and less time cooped up in your home. Yay!!! That also means that you'll be spending time with your children and/or grandchildren at the playground.

But, before the play begins, there's some safety checks you need to make before the most important people in your lives start playing at your local playground. The National Program for Playground Safety has a great website, with training information as well as a summer checklist. According to the NPPS, over 200,000 children a year are injured on America's playgrounds. Here's a short video with just a few simple checks and tips that any of us can do to make sure our children are safe while they play!

Here's to a great spring and summer filled with lots of playing, laughter, and smiles!
