A wet Election Day forecast for the Hudson Valley.  A cold front will approach and pass through the Hudson Valley.  Once this front moves out, it will usher in more sunshine for the region for the reminder of the week with cooler temps.

As for Tuesday, we will see widespread showers. Temps will struggle to reach 60.  There will be some patchy fog in the morning and maybe even a possible thunderstorm, especially late in the day.  By Tuesday night, the shower activity begins to die down, the showers remain in the forecast by the coverage area will be less than it was during the day.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Tuesday:  Widespread showers and a possible thunderstorm.  Early morning patchy fog.  High near 59.

Tuesday night:  Scattered showers, then partly cloudy.  Overnight low of 46.

Wednesday:  Mostly sunny and windy.  High near 59.

Wednesday night:  Partly cloudy, less windy.  Low around 39.

Thursday:  Sunny, high near 53.
