That high pressure that has had control of our weather will begin to lose it grip.  An area of low pressure will move into the Great Lakes region on Wednesday, that will cause a warm front into Western New York and bring clouds for the Hudson Valley.  This will lead to a chance of showers and storms late in the day in Wednesday and Wednesday night.

Expect the bulk of the wet weather on Thursday. We could see some heavy rain with these storms.  Then following that, a pretty good heat wave for Friday and next week into Independence Day.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Wednesday:  Increasing clouds, with a slight chance of showers in the afternoon. High near 76.

Wednesday night:  Possible storm and thunderstorms, expect some heavy rains with these strong storms.   Otherwise, cloudy with a low 66.

Thursday:  Showers and possible thunderstorms, high near 81.

Friday:  Sunny, with a high near 89.
