Legendary Hudson Valley Flea Market Kicks Off Season This Weekend
It's such a huge flea market that it's been featured several times on HGTV's "Flea Market Flip."
Of course, we're talking about the Stormville Flea Market.
This weekend kicks off the 2018 season, with the flea market scheduled to open at 8am on Saturday. Over 600 vendors from eight states and maybe even some television crews will descend upon the Stormville Airport for two days of bargaining.
If you've never been to the Stormville Flea Market, it's quite a surreal experience. A seemingly endless line of tables surround the huge airfield, with anything from clothing to antiques to home goods all laid out for you to purchase.
But don't forget to haggle. Prices listed on items at the Stormville Flea Market are merely suggestions. Regulars know that it's common practice to bargain a little before settling on a price.
There's no official confirmation that "Flea Market Flip" will be filming in Stormville this year, but you may want to keep your eyes open for host, Lara Spencer. She's been spotted several times at the flea market helping contestants on her HGTV show get the best bargains for their projects.
The Stormville Airport Antique Show and Flea Market will be held this Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 4pm. It's the first of six shows held throughout the year, with the last one happening at the beginning of November. For more information you can visit the flea market's official website.
