Gardiner Bakehouse: Real Sourdough Bread

Made from scratch, hand-crafted daily breads and pastries will soon be available at Gardiner Bakehouse, 297 Bruynswick Road, Gardiner. This new Ulster County business is home grown in every way, with a commitment to supporting local agriculture and farmers who use organic and regenerative agricultural practices, and a desire to rebuild the grain economy in the Hudson Valley, as well as the Northeast.

Gardiner Bakehouse is part of a collaborative of business called Full Circle, and we have worked hard to create a gathering place with good food, light recreation, space for conversation, and a strong community vibe.

Believe it or not, the hand-crafted bread process can take up to 30 hours from beginning to end, and includes things like mixing, resting, folding, proofing, shaping, retarding, scoring and baking.

In keeping with the community theme, Gardiner Bakehouse will also be a CSB, Community Supported Bakehouse, which offers a subscription program between the bakers and community. Those who subscribe will then secure discounted pricing for purchasing baked goods on a regular basis. Find out more about the CSB program here.

We will stay on top of the date for their official storefront opening and post updates here!

The Most Expensive Listing in Ulster County, NY

The most expensive property for sale in Ulster County, NY is impressive in its own right... but wait until you see the garage.

Old Ulster County Farm on Tow Path

Some houses that have been left to ruin can seem impossible to restore but the home at 345 Tow Path Road still seems to have great bones. It is also in a great location if you are looking for open space and some Hudosn Valley history. You must take a look at Turner's Farm.
