Parker McCollum is now a proud father after he and his wife, Hallie Ray, welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on Thursday (Aug. 8).

"Major Yancey Tyler McCollum 8/8/24," the couple write in a joint announcement on social media.

Their post contains a carousel of photos: The new parents holding their son while in the hospital, the new family of three at home, with dad introducing the family's dog, Ruger, to the new addition.

Who Is Parker McCollum's Wife, Hallie Ray?

McCollum and his wife Hallie Ray tied the knot on March 28, 2022. The "Pretty Heart" hitmaker popped the question in July 2021 — a moment he says he could hardly wait for.

"I couldn't wait to ask her to marry me," McCollum told People at the time. "There was no backup plan and no hesitation. I didn't overthink one thing. I was like, 'It can't get any better than her.'"

"There was no doubt in my mind that I was making the right decision," he said. "She saved my life in a way. I don't think I was headed down the right road."

McCollum has been open about his past struggles with substance abuse. He even sings about them in his song "Rest of My Life" from his debut album, Gold Chain Cowboy.
