Hudson Valley Could See 3-6 Inches of Snow With Latest Storm

The Hudson Valley is under a Winter Weather Advisory as the region braces for a wintry mix to hit starting Monday evening. The National Weather Service predicts Northern Dutchess and Ulster counties will see the most snow, with 4 to 6 inches predicted in those regions. The Pougkeepsie area may see 3 to 4 inches of snow, while Newburgh and Middletown will see up to 3 inches.

The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 10PM Monday evening through 1AM Wednesday morning for Dutchess and Ulster counties; from 6PM Monday through 6PM Tuesday for Orange and Putnam counties; and from 9PM Monday through 4PM Tuesday for Sullivan County.

The weather event is expected to start with snow Monday evening before transitioning to a wintry mix at daybreak on Tuesday and transitioning back to snow Tuesday evening. Morning and evening commutes on Tuesday are expected to be hazardous and drivers are urged to use caution.
