If you've been paying attention to CJ and I this week, you'll know that I absolutely detest the popular Easter candy, Peeps. I think it's more the weird sugar texture on the outside that really throws me for a loop. I still don't like them, but if you're looking for some Easter activities that don't include coloring eggs this could be fore you.

Peep fans, if you want to make your own Peeps now is your chance. Whatever you do, don't try to sing Chris Stapelton or Kelsea Ballerini after you make them. Thanks to a new page called Tastemade it's easy to make Peeps at home. Here's what you need:

  • 2 ½ tsp powdered gelatin

  • 1/3 cup cold water

  • 1 cup sugar

  • ¼ cup cold water

  • ½ vanilla bean pod (seeds only)

  • yellow & brown food colouring

  • 1 tbsp confectioner’s sugar

  • 1 tbsp corn starch

Watch the Tastemade video below and learn how to make the perfect Peep.

While you wait for your Peep to grow to perfection, could you do me a favor and vote for me in our Peep-okie Contest?
