Two men accused of shooting a man in the Hudson Valley are believed to be on the run.

On May 7, around 10:45 a.m. police in Poughkeepsie responded to a reported shooting at the Hudson Garden Apartments near building 4.

Officers found a 22-year-old City of Poughkeepsie resident shot multiple times. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgeries for his wounds. His condition wasn't updated.

On Monday, City of Poughkeepsie police has determined 29-year-old Michael A. Johnson of Poughkeepsie, who goes by the nickname "Flyboy" and Terrell Watkins, 31, formerly of Queens, with the nickname "Ace," were responsible for shooting the 22-year-old, police say.

There are currently arrest warrants out charging both with attempted murder. It's believed both fled New York and are likely in North Carolina or South Carolina, according to City of Poughkeepsie police.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Johnson or Watkins, or anyone who has information on the shooting, is asked to call the City of Poughkeepsie Police at 845-451-7577.
