Pieces of concrete fell from a parking garage onto a woman's car at a Hudson Valley mall.

Patty Lewis wrote on Facebook that she was eating ice cream in her SUV which was parked in the underneath parking lot at the Poughkeepsie Galleria on Friday around 1 p.m. when she heard "a loud VERY loud crash..and felt a big jolt."

According to Lewis, when she jumped out of her car she noticed the right side of her SUV's windows were blown out and huge pieces of the garage's cement ceiling on her SUV. Lewis says there were dents and glass everywhere.

"I was shaking and could not stop thinking that could have gone thru my Suv's roof and killed me or a family walking by there to the mall," Lewis wrote in a Facebook post that has been shared over 3,000 times.

There's a construction company working directly above where the roof came down on the SUV, according to Lewis.

Soon Poughkeepsie Galleria security, police and firefighters were on the scene.

"The staff at the Galleria were excellent," Lewis said.

No injuries were reported.

"Safety is our highest priority at Poughkeepsie Galleria. We are aware of the incident reported on social media and are working closely and collaboratively with the Town of Poughkeepsie to ensure the safety of all of our guests. At this time, portions of the area underneath our parking deck will remain closed. We thank
