Believe it or not, most child car seats are being used the wrong way.

If you have kids or are maybe expecting a child soon, one of the things you will most likely struggle with is trying to put the child car seat in your car or truck the proper way.

According to the Ulster County Sheriffs Office Facebook page and the National Highway Traffic Administration, 7 out of 10 children are improperly restrained.

If you want to check to make sure your seat is installed the right way, stop by the Port Ewen Fire Fire Department at 161 Broadway in Port Ewen on Saturday April 27th from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m.

The clinic will answer all of your child seat questions like, How do I choose the right seat for my child? How do I install it properly? When is it time to change child seats? Where to get free inspections done and a bunch more.

This great event is being put on by the Ulster County Traffic Board, Governor's Traffic Safety Committee and the Ulster County Sheriffs Office.
