The Ulster County Fair went out with a bang Sunday as it wrapped up another great year of entertainment but the real fireworks took place on Friday.

According to the Daily Freeman, 32-year-old Nyraine S. Santiago of Orlando, Florida, was driving on Libertyville Road around 12:40 p.m. when he approached a flagman standing outside of the fair, completely ignored his commands and almost hit him.

Police told the Freeman that after the incident they attempted to stop Santiago but he failed to stop.

Once police stopped him, he was charged with felony reckless endangerment charge, with the misdemeanors of obstructing governmental administration and unlawful fleeing of a police officer in a vehicle, the violation of unlawful marijuana possession and the infraction of failure to obey a police officer.

He was sent to Ulster County Jail on $5,000 bail.
