Police warned local residents on Tuesday that there would be heavy gunfire in the area. Luckily, the bullets weren't real and the shootout was completely staged for television.

The Clarkstown Police Department posted a warning to their Facebook page on Tuesday, alerting the public about a scene being filmed on North Broadway in Nyack.  The scene was shot between 7pm and 9pm as large production trucks surrounded the property where the TV show was being produced.

The scene involved an intense shootout with loud gunfire, prompting police to send out a warning so no one would be concerned or call 911. People at the scene said that the filming was for the NBC television series, Blindspot.

Local police were on hand to make sure everyone was safe, and to ease the minds of residents who may not have received notice about the fake shootout. Blindspot, starring Sullivan Stapleton and Jaimie Alexander, is currently in its fourth season on NBC.
