A Dutchess County man is facing felony charges after police allegedly found a large amount of weed.

On Tuesday, officers with the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department responded to the area near 1103 Dutchess Turnpike for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked behind a business.

Officers found two men in a car and a strong smell of marijuana coming from the car, police allege. Authorities soon found an open backpack with a large amount of marijuana belonging to 21-year-old Lucas J. Ramos of Poughkeepsie, officials say.

Ramos was charged with criminal possession of marijuana, a felony. He was arraigned in Town of Poughkeepsie Court and remanded to Dutchess County jail on $7,500 cash or $15,000 bond.
