The signs of Spring are starting to emerge here in the Hudson Valley. The sun is setting later in the evening, flowers and trees are starting to bud, and this week we got word that the ultimate sign of Spring is quickly approaching. According to updates on their respective Facebook pages, Overlook and Hyde Park Drive-Ins will be opening their gates before the end of April!

Overlook Drive-In in Poughkeepsie has announced that customers can roll up starting on Thursday, April 25 to see one of the most anticipated films of all-time. Avengers: Endgame will screen at 8pm Thursday through Sunday night. This is your chance to see the culmination of the Avengers saga on the largest screen in the tri-state area. While the drive-in typically shows a double feature, the 3-hours-plus runtime of Endgame means that it will be the only movie shown each night. I doubt fans will mind, however, given the intense demand for tickets that broke the internet when they went on sale.

Hyde Park Drive-in on Route 9 will open the following evening with a double feature sure to please Hudson Valley horror fans. Beginning Friday, April 26, the remake of the Stephen King classic Pet Sematary will screen starting at 7:40pm, followed by Jordan Peele's Us. Tickets for both Overlook and Hyde Park are just $10 for adults, $7 for children 5-11, and free for kids under 5. It is recommended that you get there early to grab a prime spot, check out the concessions, and prepare yourself for a great evening of entertainment. We'll see you at the drive-in!
