New information about Dierks Bentley's upcoming album, The Mountainis here...and it looks as if some exciting collaborations are in the works. Brothers Osborne, Sam Bush, Brandi Carlile, Tim O'Brien and Jerry Douglas are all featured artists on the project, which is slotted for release on June 8.

It makes sense that the lineup of artists contributing to the 13-track album leans a bit towards the rootsy side of the genre: Bentley drew the initial inspiration for The Mountain while performing at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, and much of the project was written and recorded against the backdrop of the Telluride, Colo. landscape.

Bush will contribute to multiple tracks on the album, including "You Can't Bring Me Down" and "Goodbye in Telluride." Douglas and O'Brien will weigh in on the project's eighth track, "My Religion," and will return, along with Bush, on the penultimate track for an all-star jam session that will also feature Carlile. The Brothers Osborne will help Bentley kick off The Mountain with the lead-in track, "Burning Man," which Bentley shared with a live audience in Las Vegas last December.

For their part, the Brothers Osborne will be seeing quite a bit of Bentley in 2018.The duo is also slotted to join him, along with Lanco, for this year's Mountain High Tour. More than 40 tour dates have been scheduled for the run, which will kick off on May 17 in Columbia, Md. The Brothers Osborne will also be included in Bentley's recently announced inaugural Seven Peaks Music Festival, which will take place on Labor Day weekend of 2018, Aug. 31- Sept. 2, in Buena Vista, Colo.
