Have you ever been fired from a job?

If you missed the Wakin' Up with CJ and Jess Show on Thursday you missed us talking about getting fired from a job or two in the past. It all started Thursday morning when we played a round of one of our favorite games "Full of It."

Every Thursday Jess and I give you a statement about us from the past, with one of us "fibbing" and the other tell you the truth. Your job is to try and figure out which one of us is "full of it."

If you missed our statements today, Jess told us that "one time I got sunburn so bad on vacation in North Carolina that I had to go to the emergency room because of it." My statement was, " I once got fired from a radio station for smoking a cigarette in the radio station promotions van." Kevin called the show and guessed that Jess was full of it and won himself a nice little prize and I got to tell you guys about my first time getting fired.

To tell the story, I have to go way back to 1993 when I was first starting my radio career. I was hired as an intern at a station in Albany, Fly 92.3 and after my first few weeks I was asked to dive the station van to the car wash to get it cleaned. I was so excited and felt kinda cool that I was gonna be able to drive the van around town, so I jumped in and hit the road. I cranked the radio up, rolled the windows down and lit a cigarette and went and got it washed. When I was done, I parked it in the parking lot and went back in to the station.

Like 45 minutes later the program director, Mike Morgan came in yelling about the van smelling like smoke and asked, who drove the van last? I stood up and said it was me and he asked me to step outside and well, that was that. Internship over...LOL!

That was the first time I ever got fired from anything! Have you ever been fired from a job? Can you laugh about it now? Call or text us through the Wolf mobile app.
