The ACM Awards have long been known for their share of unforgettable moments and stirring performances. No no one was expecting the announcement of Chris Stapleton's new twins!

Reba McEntire shared the news during Sunday night's (April 15) show. It all started when Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush walked out to announce the winner of Album of the Year. Up against music powerhouses such as Little Big Town, Jon Pardi, Old Dominion and Thomas Rhett, Chris Stapleton ended up taking the award for From A Room Vol. 1. When Stapleton's name was announced, the ACM Awards crowd assembled at the MGM Grand erupted in delight.

But was far from the big news of Stapleton's night.

It was known that Stapleton was not on hand at the awards show, as he was home with wife Morgane preparing for the birth of their twins. Or so we thought — suddenly, McEntire walked out on the stage and made a stunning announcement: “Those little rascals came a little bit early. Hot off the press. Twin boys.”

And from there, the crowd erupted, looking at one another as if they couldn’t believe the abundance of good news. Even McEntire looked a bit overwhelmed at all the good news of the night thus far. And in case this wasn’t a big enough fairytale, McEntire reminded the crowd that Sunday (April 15) was also, in fact, Stapleton’s birthday.

Whew!
