Boil Water Notice in Effect for The Village of Wappingers Falls
The Village of Wappingers Falls in Dutchess County is asking residents to boil their water before using it.
On Tuesday April 16th there was utility improvement construction on Wenliss Terrace. It was found that and existing water main was broken, according to a Facebook post.
The post explains that "The Village’s Contractor Argenio Bros Inc. and the Village Water Department are working together to repair the pipe." However, while the pipe is being fixed, they are urging Village of Wappingers Falls residents to boil their water.
The boil water notice encourages residents to:
Bring tap water to a rolling boil, boil for one minute, and cool before using. Or use bottled water certified for sale by the NYS Dept of Health. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and preparing food until further notice.
They apologize for the inconvenience and will update their Facebook page once the water main is fixed.
We will update this story with more information when it comes in.
