On Sunday, I had the privilege of once again being a part of a great event, Bike for Cancer Care at Dietz Stadium in Kingston. For the past 11 years, the Gruner family have worked tirelessly to raise funds for the Rosemary D. Gruner Memorial Cancer Fund in partnership with the Benedictine Health Foundation to help families and individuals who are facing financial hardships as a result of cancer.

Every year I am moved by the stories of those the fund helps and of everyone that comes out and challenges themselves to ride 50, 25, or 12 miles all to help raise monies for people they don't know but whom they care a great deal about. This year's goal was $125,000 and I tried my best to get video to capture the total as it got higher and higher.

The total has risen even higher, it now stands at $135,000, which means even more families and individuals who are impacted by cancer can be helped! There's still time to donate at bikeforcancer.org Thank you for your generosity and I hope that you will think about joining us next year, it's a fun day for a great cause!
