It's hard to believe that September is less than a week away. I remember some summers when I, dare I say it, couldn't wait for school to begin. This may have been when I was in college and couldn't wait to get back to campus and my friends, but I digress. This summer seemed to fly-by, even faster than usual. Wasn't it just the Fourth of July?

I started wondering, what exactly did I do this summer? So, I went back through my pictures of the past few months and put together a slideshow of sorts. I had some really great moments, like when I got to meet Eric Paslay at this year's Taste of Country Music Festival and when I went to Yankee Stadium to meet and interview Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood.

But there were also the everyday moments, the ones that most of our memories are made up of, and the ones I cherish the most. There was food, friends, and family. I got some sewing and quilting done, you'll see my July Fourth mantle, and you will notice that I am obsessed with flowers. Our two kitties Bella and Pepper also make an appearance.

There were, of course, some not-so-great moments, like the sinus infection that really knocked me down for almost 3 weeks, and the inevitable disagreements when you spend a lot of time with family (did I really just type that?) All in all, as we say goodbye to the summer of 2016, it was pretty good and I have some great memories to keep with me.

Hope you had a great summer as well and here's to a fun fall!
