Gov. Andrew Cuomo won most Hudson Valley counties by a landslide in Thursday's Democratic primary.

It seems like in this day and age, Republicans and Democrats can't agree on anything. However, according to our readers, most share one thing in common, their disdain for New York's current Governor.

So, it may come as a surprise, but Cuomo dominated challenger Cynthia  Nixon in the Democratic primary.

Cuomo defeated Nixon by over 450-thousand votes across the state. Below primary results for each county in the Mid-Hudson Valley, according to the New York State Board of Elections.

Dutchess County

  • Andrew Cuomo:  61.79% (11,710)
  • Cynthia Nixon: 36.88% (6,990)

Orange County

  • Andrew Cuomo:  60.63% (11,540)
  • Cynthia Nixon: 38.41% (7,310)

Putnam County

  • Andrew Cuomo:  61.88% (3,188)
  • Cynthia Nixon: 36.70% (1,891)

Ulster County

  • Andrew Cuomo:  49.46% (8,202)
  • Cynthia Nixon: 48.46% (7,982)

Cuomo also bested Nixon in Rockland, Westchester and Sullivan counties. Nixon came out on top in Columbia and Greene counties.

Cuomo will battle Republican nominee Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro and Independent Stephanie Miner in November's election.
