Three hotels found in the Hudson Valley offer some of the "best" nights " in the world"

This week, Travel + Leisure released its editor's picks for the "Best New Hotels in the World."

To craft its list Travel + Leisure spent nights in countless hotels over the past year in 35 countries. Writers and editors spent nights in Italy, South Africa, Qatar, Miami and New York State, to name a few places.

"This isn't merely a list of the most high-end resorts, nor is it a who's-who of major hotel chains. Instead, we've aimed to showcase the properties that are at the top of their game and adding something new to the conversation, whether they're century-old stalwarts fresh off a major reno or intimate family-run boutiques that hit the sweet spot between hotel hospitality and vacation-rental hominess," Travel + Leisure states.

Three New York hotels made the list. Making it even cooler, is all three can be found in the Hudson Valley!

Hutton Brickyards — Ulster County, Kingston, New York

Hutton Brickyards in Kingston, New York made the list. Travel + Leisure believes the main draw is 73-acres of prime riverfront on the Hudson.

The Ulster County destination opened around the summer of 2021.

Owners claim Hutton Brickyards is "a rambling and imaginative retreat for getaways, experiences and events."

In July 2021, Time Magazine named the Hudson Valley as one of "The World's Greatest Places Of 2021," along with places like Athens, Belize, Beijing, Dubai, Las Vegas, Madrid, Los Angeles, New Orleans, New York City, Sicily, Sydney, Tokyo and Paris, to name a few.

In its write-up of the Hudson Valley, Time highlighted Hutton Brickyards in Kingston.

Another Ulster County destination made the list. Innes is a 220-acre resort located in Accord.

"An intimate country retreat on 220 pastoral acres - home to a hotel, restaurant, member’s club, golf and abundant leisure activities in Accord, NY," Inness writes on Instagram.

Peter Terzian writes for Travel + Leisure and says what impressed him most about the hotel just south of the Catskill Mountains was the "space."

"The complex occupies half of a former golf club, and its 28 spare cabin suites surround a dreamy expanse of wide-open fields," Terizan writes. "With its cathedral ceiling and a few simple furnishings, my room felt mind-cleansing."

Piaule Catskill — Catskill, New York

The final New York hotel to make the list is Piaule Catskill which is located in Catskill, New York (duh, LOL) on Mossy Hill Road.

The company considers the hotel to be a "landscape hotel" that features "luxury cabins in the woods in upstate New York, with spa, restaurant" and more.

Vogue recently called Piaule Catskill the "Ultimate Modern Getaway."

"The Finger Lakes got a near-instant icon when this 124-room lakefront resort opened in 2020. Willowbrook Spa features Nordic-inspired barrel saunas overlooking the lake, along with a calming sunroom and a tranquil garden.
