Jeff Gordon fans are saddened by the news this morning that he has announced that 2105 will be his last full time season.

According to NBC sports, he isn't using the word retirement, but he is saying that 2015 will be the last year he competes for the championship. Gordon's first year in Nascar's premier series was 1993 and he's had 92 victories and 77 pole positions in the Sprint Cup Series. He sits third behind Richard Petty with 200 wins, and David Pearson with 105 on the all-time victory list.

He spoke with CNN 2 months ago about his battles to get back to the top.
