Do you have a child or know a child who wants to be in a band? Or maybe you know a child who just enjoys learning music. If so you should find out more about how we have teamed up with Paul Effman Music, TEG Federal Credit Union and New Paltz Rock for Music Matters a program that can help local student reach their musical dreams.

It has been proven that learning music can help a child excel in many aspects of the their life including education. Often the reason a child doesn't get involved in a music program is because of the cost of the instruments. Music Matters is a program where you can nominate a student to receive the instrument they wish to learn to play. Click on the button above to nominate someone you know today.

Last week I had the opportunity to enjoy a live performance by "Ashes of the Phoenix" one of the New Paltz Rock Bands. They performed as part of the Thursday Free Music Night at Water Street Market in New Paltz. This group of teens are quite a talented. Check out their performance from Woodstock Harley-Davidson earlier this summer. Then be sure to nominate a student you know so their music dreams can come true too.
