Just before Dec., a Putnam County man, a teacher in the Bronx, was found dead in his school's bathroom from an apparent heroin overdose. He leaves behind three children and a pregnant wife.

In Jan., car that fled a Dutchess County stabbing caused the fatal accident on the Mid-Hudson Bridge.

A mother who was a passenger on her husband's motorcycle lost her life when two motorcycles collided. Two others were seriously injured.

After spending time in prison for killing a man while driving drunk, an Ulster County man was accused of another fatal drunk driving accident.

A Saugerties man admitted he was very drunk and high when he crashed his car and killed his 22-year-old friend.
