And the dig out begins.

When we heard a snow storm was heading for New York last week, we didn't think much of it. However, when reports started giving us estimates of 18 to 22 inches people started to pay attention. With the snow coming down 2 to 4 inches per hour yesterday, parts of the Hudson Valley saw 24 inches of snow thanks to Winter Storm Stella.

There were also reports of some serious damage due to the storm. Cars getting stuck and signs getting blown over were popular calls going out on Tuesday, one call in Amenia might take the prize for most intense Stella destruction.

According to the Eastern Dutchess County Fire and Rescue Facebook page, a call came in a 5:37pm to 4941 Rt 22 in Amenia. The call was for a collapse canopy and the location was later confirmed that it was the Shell Gas Station.

No word yet if any injuries occurred because of the collapse. One of our listeners shared his photo of the collapse:
