How many apps do you have on your phone? I have 145 apps on my phone, give or take. I use them to do a lot of things like editing photos, shopping, research, watching movies, playing games, and listening live to my favorite radio station, 94.3/97.3 The Wolf. Chances are you have a few too and if you like to hunt, fish, or camp, there's an app for that and it's just gotten a serious upgrade.

According to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, a new feature has been added to the New York Fishing, Hunting, and Wildlife app which will enable licensed sportsmen to submit their game harvests right from their phone, even when you are out of cell range.  While you do have seven days to legally report deer, bear, and turkey harvests, this app makes it easy to do it almost immediately, plus you can share your day of hunting and fishing with your friends on Facebook.

This app also allows you to log in and electronically access your license, get the latest wildlife news, weather reports, and GPS mapping capabilities. If you need assistance, you can also reach out to the DEC through the app. It's free to download at either the ITune app store or Google play.
