What’s Happening This Weekend in the Hudson Valley?

After a snow day for many of us in the Hudson Valley, it's time to get out of the house and explore some of the many things happening this weekend.
Saturday, January 10: All-Day. Beacon's Second Saturday, City-wide Celebration of the Arts. Many galleries and shops stay open late to feature show openings, artist receptions, music, food, wine, and other special events. Sponsored and promoted by the Beacon Arts Community Association, Second Saturday is also part of the Art Along the Hudson series of monthly arts celebrations in 7 Hudson Valley cities.
Saturday, January 10: 8 pm. Enjoy an evening of One-Act Plays at The Sullivan County Cultural Center, organized by the Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop.
Saturday, January 10: 11-2. WinterFest on The Hudson Valley Rail Trail at the Hudson Valley Rail Trail Depot at 101 New Paltz Road in Highland. There will be a chili contest, kids activity tent, food & drinks, hay wagon rides, chainsaw expo, a gift shop, and chestnut & marshmallow toasting. Chill out and stay warm by the Cozy Bonfire!
Saturday, January 10: Enjoy winter sports at Thomas Bull Memorial Park in Montgomery. Weather and conditions permitting - Enjoy cross-country skiing over the fairways and open spaces of Stony Ford Golf Course, must register in the lodge. Ice skating on a lighted, man-made rink. Sledding on the hill adjacent to the snow tubing hill. Toboggans, metal-edge sleds, snowboards and over-sized tubes not permitted. Call for conditions. 9am-Dusk. 845-457-4949.
