With vacation mode in full swing, it's the perfect time to explore all the Hudson Valley has to offer. Here's just a few of the many events going on this weekend.

Saturday, July 11-Sunday, July 12 : 1-4. The Clinton Historical Society will exhibit private collections of antique quilts from 1898 through 1940, at the Creek Meeting House Exhibit Center, 2433 Salt Point Turnpike in Clinton Corners. This exhibit will include some reproductions of vintage quilt designs and materials.   This colorful display features exquisite finely-detailed needlework that took hundreds of hours to complete from materials salvaged from men’s shirts, women’s mourning dresses, feed sacks, and other sources during the Depression and other times. Admission is free and will run every weekend in July. On July 25, children are invited to make quilt pieces of their own design using craft materials provided. Quilters will demonstrate techniques on July 12 and 19.
