Saturday, August 2 from 4-7: Dinner is served! Don't worry about cooking or even cleaning the dishes, just head to the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Salt Point on Salt Point Turnpike for their Chicken Barbecue. Menu includes boneless barbecue chicken breast, baked beans, corn on the cob, cole claw, pasta salad, cornbread, beverages, homemade peach shortcake. Take-outs available. 845-635-3635.

Now through Sunday, August 3: The Phoenicia International Festival of the Voice, a multiple day musical event with various locations throughout Phoenicia and surrounding areas featuring world class performers. This year they are saluting all things Spanish with performances scheduled throughout each day ranging from chorale groups to opera. Here's a look back at past festivals.

Saturday, August 2 from 9-3: Don't miss Otisville's annual community yard sale. There will be sales at homes as well as at Veteran's Memorial Park on Main Street. Some roads will become one way during the sale and you can get a list of the homes participating here.

Saturday, August 2 at 8pm: Bring the whole family to the Forestburgh Playhouse for a  magical performance of "Mary Poppins".  Children 12 and under will be admitted free. Simply call the Box Office at 845-794-1194 and book tickets for Saturday night. You'll need to tell the Box Office you are calling about the “Kids Come Free” promotion and specify how many tickets for kids twelve and under.
