What Color are Oreo Cookies?

There are certain questions that only two very seasoned and well respected broadcasters can ask and with Jess and I being neither, we need to get a clear answer to this super important question.

What color do you think the Oreo cookie is? Is it black? Or is it brown?

When I asked Jess what she thought she said without hesitation, BLACK, me on the other hand, I'm leaning more towards a darker shade of brown and we aren't the only one's wondering about all of this.

The folks over at Thrillist asked the same question and according to their website, Oreo has an answer, kinda. The Oreo parent company Mondelez was asked about the color and here is what they said, "We do not have a color assigned to the cookie portion of an Oreo. Some people think the Oreo is a shade of brown, while others view the color closer to black."
