Are movie theaters a dying breed? With the ability to so easily see movies from the comfort of our own homes, the ease of streaming devices and the continuing increase in movie ticket prices, are people going to the movies anymore?

Movie ticket prices have increased because movie companies have to pay for their big budget movies, yep, we got that, but who is suffering? The movie goer? The movie theater company?

Another movie theater, this time its the Greenburgh Multiplex theater in Elmsford, that says it will not be renewing its lease when it's up in May of 2019. The reason that they said they will not be continuing their operation? They say attendance and lack of profitability.

Do you prefer to watch movies at home or on the big screen? If you don't go to the movie theaters is there another reason other than ticket prices that keeps you away?
