I love weddings, I do. Of course, the tears start rolling down my cheeks as soon as we are seated, continue throughout the ceremony, and by the time we reach the reception I've gone through an entire little pack of pocket tissues. My poor husband.

After figuring out what to wear, which usually takes months for me, the next question is the gift. I've heard "experts" say you should buy gifts only on the couple's register, that this isn't the time to get creative. Other "experts" say you should give something personal, a gift that is a one of a kind such as a piece of art work or photograph by a favorite artist for instance. Still, more "experts", say cash, that way the bride and groom can get what they want when they want.

So, I ask you...
