Wallkill Abduction UPDATE

Town of Wallkill police are now reporting that a Bloomingburg man is in custody following reports of an abduction early Monday.

Thomas Monaghan of Bloomingburg, was arrested on an outstanding warrant by troopers and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail. He is also being charged in Orange County with violating an order of protection in connection with the gas station incident.

According to the Times Herald Record, Monaghan was stopped Tuesday afternoon by state police out of Wurtsboro, who said his pickup and general description matched those of the suspect in the Mobil incident.

The woman, meanwhile, is safe and sound and was questioned by police. She was found in a house in Bloomingburg on Tuesday.
