Veterans Appreciation Day This Weekend in Dutchess County

Next Friday is Veterans Day and many communities put together great events for our veterans to attend.

This weekend Dutchess County will start honoring our veterans with Dutchess County's 11th Annual Veterans Appreciation Day. Starting on Saturday, November 5th at 10am at  the Henry A. Wallace Center at the FDR Presidential Library veterans will have the opportunity to learn about services and resources they have in the Hudson Valley.

Veterans can attend programs such as a Veteran Affairs Home Loan Program as well as health programs for Non-VA medical care and get information about health insurance options too. The day will wrap up at 12 noon with a Military Medal presentation ceremony. They will also recognize US Congressman Chris Gibson's retirement.

From 10am until 11:45am there will be registration for FAVOR cards. If you are planning to register you must have photo ID and a copy of full time active duty discharge papers.

Attending the event comes with free admission to the FDR Library and Museum.
