An Ulster County woman who drove her car off the roadway was allegedly driving while impaired by drugs and in possession of drugs.

New York State Police at Ellenville arrested 21-year-old Catherine A. McDonough, from Kingston for 5th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs, and resisting arrest.

State Police and the Ulster County Sheriff's Office responded to an accident involving a vehicle off the roadway. Police say a further investigation revealed that McDonough was impaired by drugs.

While being placed under arrest McDonough is accused of fighting with police. Officials later found her to be in possession of approximately 2.5 grams of cocaine.

McDonough was arraigned in the Town of Wawarsing Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail on $5,000 cash or $10,000 secured bond. She’s due back in court on June 24.
