Ulster County Warming Center Will Open This Weekend
After unseasonably high temperatures for the past few months, winter will be arriving this weekend in the Hudson Valley. And with temperatures taking a nose-dive, Ulster County wants all of it's residents to know that they have your back.
If you, or someone you know is homeless, or you find yourself in a desperate situation this weekend, don't take a chance by staying out in the frigid temperatures, head to Ulster County's Warming Center, hosted by the Clinton Avenue United Methodist Church.
According to Ulster County Executive Mike Hein, the center will remain open from 7 pm to 7 am through this Monday, November 13. Folks from the American Red Cross will staff the center and any homeless adult, 18 years or older, is welcome to come in and take shelter from the cold. The Family of Woodstock also will provide resources for those in need.
The Warming Center will also provide a hot meal in the evening and breakfast in the morning. If you need additional help, please call 845-679-2485.
