An Ulster County man was arrested for over accusations he stole from a local apartment.

On Thursday, The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office was told about a burglary at an apartment in the Town of Esopus. Police were able to identify 29-year-old David M. Wiedemann of Rosendale as a suspect. Officials did not say how they developed him as a suspect.

On Friday, Wiedemann was located at his place of employment in the Town of Esopus and arrested at the Ulster County Law Enforcement Center. He was charged with second-degree burglary, a felony, and petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

Wiedemann was arraigned in the Town of Esopus Justice Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $30,000 property bond.
