Two Orange County men were arrested following a nearly 6 month investigation into stolen firearms in Ulster County.

In January, New York State Police from Highland received a report of a burglary to a home in the Town of Esopus. The homeowner reported a number of firearms were stolen.

A several month long investigation led investigators to allege that 21-year-old Nicholas J. Sisco, of Wallkill and Christopher J. Howe, 22, of New Windsor, committed the burglary.

A search warrant was conducted on Howe's residence and vehicle in New Windsor. Police say they were able to recover four of the five firearms that were reported stolen.

Both were charged with burglary, a class C felony. Sisco was released on his own recognizance and Howe was remanded to Ulster County Jail on $5,000 cash $10,000 bond. Both subjects are due to return to the Town of Esopus Court on May 31.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and more charges are possible.
