Two Kingston residents were arrested after they both allegedly sold drugs to undercover officers.

In Sept. of 2015, URGENT began an investigation into narcotic sales in the City of Kingston. Police say 29-year-old Wayne L. Lewis, of Kingston sold heroin to an undercover officer. An arrest warrant was issued.

On Thursday, Lewis was located by authorities in the Town of Ulster. He was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance, and 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies.

Lewis was arraigned in the City of Kingston Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.

In Nov. of 2015, URGENT began another investigation into drug sales in the City of Kingston and Town of Ulster. During the investigation, 28-year-old Bernard M. Howard III, of Kingston, allegedly sold an undercover officer cocaine and heroin.

Following an arrest warrant, Howard was also arrested on Thursday in the Town of Ulster. He was charged with 2nd-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, and 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies.

Howard was arraigned in the City of Kingston Court and remanded without bail to the Ulster County Jail.
